We promise demolition and people vote for us, so the populace wanted demolition and demolition we have started. But I have some reservations.

So the promise is on the process of been delivered, I hailed the Governor for this wonderful swift into action.

There are numerous public buildings mutilated, encroached and captured to enrich cronies and families which must be brought back to their original public purpose for the benefit of all Kano State people.

The demolition is necessary and in order, so as to keep a lesson for future references that will serve as deterrence to some miscreants who felt they can do whatever comes to their mind because they are intoxicated by power.

Yet along doing this I have a strong CAVEAT, the demolition has to be lead by reason and wisdom not by emotion and vendetta.

We should differentiate where the structures are built in such a way that the property can be converted to something useful to the public, for instance the strong and  standard structure erected on the defunct Triumph News paper space should not be demolished even if it is allocated to the Ganduje's family, as in some cases, rather it should be converted to, say a model primary health care or even a secondary school as the need might be. 

Another structure I believed needs not to be demolished is the defunct Daula Hotel which was annexed by KUT prior to its conversion to bazar plaza by Yansarin Ganduje, to me the logical thing is finding a route to retrieve the land without demolition the multi mullion structure invested in the land. This will be to the Gov like killing two birds with single stone, lands retrieved structures gotten free.

Furthermore, Masallacin Idi, must of the Yansari have gotten their share and run away, when it comes to demolition it will affect young wealthy people ''yan dadi plaza'' so there is need to find a way to punish the original actors,  and secondly the field has outlived it's purpose as  the main Idi ground of Kano State, meant to be located in it's outskirt, it is now surrounded three hundred and sixty degree by markets, from kofar wambai to kofar Mata through IBB  to Kwari, non of which has a good provision for parking space. 😉  I guess it will generate huge revenue running to millions if it is converted to ultra modern parking space.

I am not talking about buildings curved from schools, colleges, hospitals or cemeteries, those ones  are CC condem.
